Diana,

I am sometimes embarrassed to say I am an American because of what I see my
government spending money on. A tiny fraction of the money this
administration has spent on killing people all over the world (including our
own) in the past two years could have helped so many. Our media is very
narrow and really doesn't cover world events adequately - I like hearing
"our" news from Canadian Broadcasting Corporation because it reminds me just
how skewed and incomplete our news is.

Size helps - we have a lot of resources and lots of people to generate GNP.
I'd like to see more of my tax dollars help instead of hurting people
elsewhere, but no one seems to listen to me (although at this point, I'm
probably on some Homeland Security list).

Linda
