Hi, All - two questions:

    1) My G3 (beige) is running on OS 8.0; I'd like to switch over to 9.0,
which I have on the laptop.  I upgraded the main programs when I got the
laptop, so I know most are compatible.  Q: is anyone having any major
glitches with OS 9 ( I routinely use Quark 3.3.2, Photoshop 5.0.1,
Illustrator 8 - I want to get Illustrator 9, which will only run with OS 8.5
and above).  I have a lot of work at the moment, and don't want to spend a
week trying to iron out the bugs.

    2) My monitor (same machine) is acting up a bit; when I shut off the
screen (manually, using the little button), it has failed to come back on
several times - about 4 time out of maybe 100, I think, so it is not
consistent. The screen just stays black.  I can get it to come on by
restarting &  holding down the apple-option-A-V keys (resets to factory
defaults), but of course this is annoying.  I'm guessing some kind of
extension conflict, but I haven't loaded any new software lately.  I did
rebuild the desktop, and so far so good, but who knows?  any clues?
suggestions?
