1. Safety Training Schedule
The Winter 2003 Safety Training schedule is now available on the EHS Web
Site at http://ehs.unl.edu/classes.html

2. New Documents
EHS has posted new or revised Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) to the Web
Site, including:

   On-the-Job Injuries
   Animal Allergens
   Disposal of Dead Domestic Animals
   Fall Arrest Systems
   Fall Protection
   Holiday Safety
   Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)
   Instructions for CDL Program Training
   Microtome Safety
   On-the-Job Injuries
   Radioactive Materials Collection
   Smoke Detector Disposal

EHS has updated the following documents on the EHS Web Site:

3. Feature SOP
EHS has developed a Safety Operating Procedure (SOP) on Animal Allergens.
This SOP focuses on the precautions an employee should take to help
minimize the exposure to animal allergens.  The SOP can be found on the EHS
Web Site at http://ehs.unl.edu/FactSheets/s-animal_allergens.pdf

4. Training for Shipping of Dangerous Goods
EHS has scheduled an IATA 6.2/9 Training session for Wednesday, January 15
from 9:00 a.m. - Noon.  UNL employees who ship dangerous goods, which
includes dry ice, must be trained every two years.  The training will be
held in the EHS Training room at 3630 East Campus Loop.  To register,
