not an expert, but...
have you moved any files since placing them in the Quark doc?
Maybe try deleting and then re-placing the file(s) to re-establish the path, even if you haven't moved anything to a new location. Usually Quark will tell you it can't find the file and then lets you look for it, but maybe Collect For Output works differently (I don't use it normally).
