Hi, all -
I am working on a map in Illustrator 9, multi-layers. everything was
gong
along just fine, but suddenly now I cannot make a rectangle or a circle
(or
a
star, twirl, etc - any shape) for this document that is larger than a tiny
dot. I click on the tool icon, drag, and the shape stops at a little tiny
whatever-it-is. If I make a new document, no problem. If i make a new
document and paste the map into it, the same problem occurs.
Also, when I draw a line or use the brush or pencil tool, I end up
with
a
line segment, but what shows is a square about 1 x 1".
This is wierd. I'm thinking I mistakenly assigned some kind of pattern
to
the stroke, but I don't understand why it happens to so many different
tools.
this happened after I burned a cd with this file on it; unfortunately
I
trashed the original - I'm wondering if I just messed up the illustrator
file
in the cd burn process?
any hints?
thanks in advance,
Gail
