The EPA arrived today to perform an inspection of UNL's waste management
practices.  The inspection will be limited to East Campus.  They will be
here the rest of the week.   All violations will require formal corrective
actions and possibly involve fines.  Please have your staff cooperate with
the inspector, but they should provide answers only to the question(s)
asked and be certain of their response(s) (i.e., do not guess).  The
inspector will perform interviews of the staff and will request records.
The labeling and closure status of waste containers will be carefully
reviewed.
