Howdy all,

Seeing Lynette pop up reminded me that I've been wanting to write and rave
about her new books, INFINITE WORLDS and FARAWAY WORLDS. They've been
sitting on our coffee table at home for about a month and just seem to fly
into people's hands. Both are veritable feasts for the eyes - hard to put down!

INFINITE WORLDS is authored by Ray Villard, the news writer for the Hubble
folks. It's very readable and of course beautiful - I also really enjoyed the
preface by both Ray and Lynette - neat personal notes - not to mention the
foreword by Goeff Marcy and afterword by Frank Drake! Did I mention that
the book is visually gorgeous?

FARAWAY WORLDS is authored by Paul Halpern and is a children's book - my
15 y.o. stepson grabbed it right up with such exclamations as "cooooool" and
"tight!" - didn't put it down until he'd finished it - then picked up the other
book, enjoyed the pictures but thought it had more words than he was in the
mood for. I also found the kids' book to be very good - enjoyed the simplified
explanations of how astronomers find planets - and there was a real nice
page at the end about Lynette and how she paints planets she has never
seen.
