Congratulations on a successful program, Marie! You and your
committee and all of your volunteers worked very hard to offer a well-
conceived and well-managed workshop, and all of you can take pride in
this accomplishment. The GNSI is grateful for your efforts.
Our workshop programs are central to the Guild's purpose:
"... a non-profit organization of persons employed, or genuinely
interested in the field of natural science illustration, having the
desire to maintain and further the profession through increased
communication of those involved, to encourage and assist others with
the desire and capabilities to enter the profession, to promote
better understanding of the profession by the general public and
those persons requiring natural science illustration services and to
increase the respect for the profession through encouraging high
standards of competence and ethics." (from the GNSI Constitution &
ByLaws) www.gnsi.org
I encourage every GNSI member to try to attend workshops, whether at
the annual conference or the yearly GNSI Education Series programs.
Definitely send your ideas to Marie, and look for more exciting Ed
Series offerings in the future.
And, personal congratulations to you, Marie, on your new job. I'm
sure it will be both exciting and challenging, and we wish you the best.
Regards,
Gail
