Just returned from UMFK where we went through classrooms, studios,  
labs and did many of the  room assignments.  Looking good so far.

Food Service at UMFK is good,  and I do recommend the food there.

Stopped to chat with the book store manager and she said that she will  
be glad to carry any supplies that we will need for the conference. I  
know, for example, that one presenter needs #11 xacto knives/blades  
and metal rulers or straight edges. That cannot be carried on an  
airplane. If anyone else has special needs, please let me know and I  
will make up a list for the Book Store to consider or carry. She will  
give us 10-20% discount.  Since she buys from Utrecht and Dick Blick  
it should be easy to give her an order. I also introduced her to Cheap  
Joe's.

We even found two alternate spaces for Linda Feltner and the live  
critter!

We are also considering a GPS class with instruction for beginners and  
intermediate and followed up by an on-campus exercise. It should be  
fun to see where people end up.
