Hi everyone, I've been "listening in", with pleasure, for the past two
weeks, now I have a problem I'm hoping you can help me solve.
Funds have suddenly appeared to buy much need microscopes and camera
lucidas for our Nature Lab at Rhode Island School of Design.  The
microscopes will be used by the students in our Natural Science
Illustration Program (of which I am the director). This is not an area
that I know much about and I wondered if someone out there could help.
The questions are, 1. What type, or types, of microscopes would best
serve the students in an educational environment such as this, 2. Which
brands are best,and 3. Is it worth getting used microscopes and - if so -
do you know of distributors, companies etc. who handle used or
reconditioned equiptment.
