Dear Smart people,

The GNSI has been using this phrase in its literature for any years:

"Goethe has been quoted as observing that you really do not see a plant until you draw it"

But it has been so long that the Goeth quote has been separated from the source.  Do any of you have a reference that could help us nail down the origin?
