The statistics on Peter Rabbit are quite amazing, but it's a good story
with a loveable bad little boy and a monster that almost gets him. I don't
tire of her intimate views of the vegetable plants. Sometimes I stop to
realize that when she has what seems like a quaint country kitchen, it was
probably not quaint when she conceived it. Then I wonder how such a story
could be told in our modern world (like Raffi's Old MacDonald had a band).
But what makes me the craziest is when I see the stories in print with
someone's <newer> illustrations, talk about not having a clue!!!
