As you all know Jerry Hodge passed away Wednesday morning.

I am working on a short presentation about Jerry for the conference and also several articles about him. If you have any photos or anecdotes or comments about Jerry, I would love to see/hear them. You may send to me directly or via the listserv. I cannot guarantee I'll use them all, but will do my best. Contributors will of course be credited.

Jerry was kind, funny and generous. He was one of those rare artists who was not only an accomplished scientific and medical artist, but he extended his work into fine art and jewelry design. Jerry was particularly known for his trompe l'oeil painting, and taught many workshops on this subject. His work with jewelry included enameling and work in silver and non-precious stones. He excelled at all these things.

It is his unfailing kindness and generosity stand out in my mind. He never hesitated to share what he knew, and he was always encouraging in how he did it. He touched many lives throughout the years.

We will miss him every day.

Karen
