Dear Emil,
Your VR Quicktime panoramas are quite impressive! The balance with
the ambient lighting was extraordinary, I didn't see any washed out areas. I
was struck by how handsome were your results.
I'm traveling down to French Guiana on a research expedition with the New
York Botanical Garden next week. We're hiking in to a wilderness area where
we will be collecting on an inselberg. I'm told that the view from the top
might demand some panoramic shots. Your efforts with your digital camera
and tripod are a real stimulus to attempt something similar. I'll be
lugging in cameras with good old "chemical film". I'll try to retrofit the
overlapping chromes to a VR format. May I ask what software you used (in
addition to Photoshop), to compose the the VR files?
Thanks for any feedback on this.
Best wishes and keep up the good work!
Michael Rothman
