I've used the 3rd edition (but I like the first edition better :-). My
students had some difficulty with the text. Roll's literary style is
quite different from modern textbooks and  students need to be good
readers to grasp his arguments.

Has anyone read Alessandro Roncaglia's The Wealth of Ideas : A History
of Economic Thought, Cambridge University Press, 2005?  Or have you seen
any reviews?
