Better for some, worse for others.
Certainly the authors of the songs deserve more credit than they
were getting. The optimal solution would have been to add credit,
rather than remove the resource. But we can't make people do
more work, and the site owner opted for less work. Ce la vie.
I have no skin in the game, having no ability to create
good songs [1], but I can understand Mathurin's concern
(and others) that their work was being essentially stolen
when they stopped receiving credit for the work.

[1] I've done some lyrical substitution for a few songs for
another hobby, but none for the SCA. It's a newly
discovered skill/talent for me.
