While going through and recurrating boxes of vials, I found a vial of
mystery fluid. I would appreciate any insight about what this might
be. The vial is clear glass with a plastic pop-off top. It has about
half an ounce of liquid in the vial. On the outside is handwritten
"Kashuba". The liquid inside is yellowish, slightly amber and appears
to be kind of thick; not runny at all. I'm guessing it might have
been used for mounting slides.

I am not finding anything on the internet about a chemical with the
name Kashuba. I'm mostly concerned about this being a health and
safety hazard. If this is something that you know to be unsafe,
please contact me directly; I read the ECN listserve in digest.

Thank you,
Andy
