Here is what I think about the stroke path problem: Your cursor has to
be in the pen palette i.e. if you have just set your brush preferences
for the stroke and stayed in the brush palette, you cannot stroke the
path. Neither can you stroke the path if you are in the move tool. The
only way it works is to be in the pen tool and have your brush
attributes and color already selected.
