Went to see this new film by Robert Eggers that won a top prize at Cannes this year.  It is a ferociously masculine story (not a woman in the film, just a mermaid with fish tail) and so I was amazed at the end to find Sarah Orne Jewett’s name in the credits.  Keep that in mind if you go to see it.
