Lynette, what Wacom tablet are you using - how old is it? If the issue is brush lagging, I would think that still has to do with the tablet software, not the brushes. But I could be wrong!
Not the most encouraging, but I just had a similar issue with a Wacom Intuous 3 that was about 6 or 7 years old - it was mostly the lasso/freehand-selection tool that was going horribly awry, and sometimes restarting everything fixed it temporarily, but it got worse and worse. I tried all the driver updates, unplugging and re-plugging, restarting all the things... nothing fixed it, so I took the opportunity to upgrade to a new tablet. Even though Wacom still issues new drivers, I think some of these products honestly do “age out”, as frustrating as that is.
