At the Grand Island (Hall County) Nebraska Centennial
on July 4, 1957, the Pawnee ritual was re-enacted,
however, the maiden of interest was wearing a body
suit and she was rescued at the last moment by a
lovesick brave from another village. It was very
dramatic.
