I'm introducing a new topic for discussion, one that might be good for a
newsletter article.

The question is: are there artists reps for scientific illustrators? Do
illustrators find them useful and if so, how?  In general, what are your
experiences with artist reps that you would care to share?

I have not worked with them personally, so I have nothng to offer, but I am
curious about them.
