Frank, and others who may be interested,
My brother is a photographer for the Center for Human Simulation in Denver. They are doing similar 3D stuff with human bodies. They shave slices off of frozen cadavers, he photographs each slice and from these many images they create virtual operations. This summer I was able to try
probing around a virtual knee joint. Very interesting. They plan to add blood and possibly some sound effects, like an "Ow!" if you press too hard. These aren't necessary, but again it is the wow factor. You can check them out at
