Hello Kate,
I notice there are 5 GNSI members from Australia in the directory. A
couple of years ago at the Bellingham annual meeting there was an
Australian who attended. Does anyone remmber who that was or keep in
touch with him? I remember his comments about how isolated being an
illustrator was in Australia and that even if people knew of each
other they generally did not communicate. That is too bad.
Australia, like the USA, is so huge I am sure it is hard to keep in contact
with people on the other shoreline or even the next town. But
the best thing about GNSI is this communication, sharing of
information and resources, and the generous ecouraging support that is
given freely. The newsletter alone is worth the membership fees.
Lots of us rarely make it to the meetings. So do join if you are at
all serious about working in the field.
