Hi, All -
Sometime ago I sent a suggestion to the newsletter people (I forgot
who) that didn't seem to get a response, so I thought I'd float it
again. For those of us far from the DC area (or ANY area), attending a
workshop is somewhat of a major undertaking, involving both time and
considerable expense (travel, lodging, etc.). Is there any possibility
of videotaping workshops and selling the videos to the members? I'm not
talking Hollywood productions here; "home" video quality would be fine,
wiggly camera and all - just so I could hear and see basically what is
going on. I'd be willing to pay not only costs but enough to give GNSI
a profit as well.
I would have loved to have attended the colored pencil workshop at the
National Zoo, but I figured the weekend would have cost me around $700
minimum. $70 for a videotape would be fine with me, and I don't know if
it would even come to that amount. Even those who CAN come to the
workshops might like one for future reference (sometimes my notes from a
workshop or conference don't read too well when I get home!) Maybe the
actual workshop participants could get a discount on the video as part
of the package.
Anyway, just an idea. Any remarks?
