Elaine,

I'm not a big contributor to the listserve... just kind of lurk in the
shadows, but I had to comment on the airbrush chapter.

A while back I found myself doing surgical illustrations for a publisher,
which later evolved into cover ideas. As I was crunched for deadlines, I
resigned to scanning all my hard work into the computer (I actually get
excited about doing "hand" illustration these days) to accomodate the many
changes that were coming in. I've never considered myself an airbrush
artist, but found the airbrush chapter in the handbook especially helpful.
With the help of a pressure sensitive tablet, lots of memory and photoshop
I've been able to adapt many of these traditional techniques in my current
work.

Cheers,

- Leigh:)
