the call for papers sounded good!!  i'll bet you get a ton of responses - i
can think of a couple off-the-bat...

do you know if anyone has spoken to scott rawlins yet?  he submitted a
proposal for a grasses/prairie talk on his survey form from the santa cruz
conference.  he called me last month, and i passed his message on to dean.
