For what it's worth: I still use my Mac IIci and love the little thing
despite its limitations in today's work world. I hate almost everything about
my new Mac, a Power6500, but prefer it to the Windows thing I bought and
returned. Upgrading to OS8 the new Mac went berserk. The service person who
made the housecall said the cd was bad and I switched back to 7.6 or whatever
came before 8. I gave up trying to return the OS8cd because I wasted so much
time trying to telephone the right person--actually any human--to whom to
return it.  I find that Apple telephone support is terrible, although staff
are always polite.  Joan
