When working with a Postscript based Graphics program like Illustrator or
Freehand, there is a command to fconvert editable text into the vector art
outlines used by a printing device.  They are then Artwork, which can be
altered like any other artwork, but are much harder to deal with if you
want to change the characters (edit text)
