Perhaps this all may have something to do with one of those natural
cycles we were discussing recently; it seems last year's bout of
squirrelliness was in early February, on a waxing moon, as is this one.
I'm surprised that it's not a full moon, though, as loony as I've been
during the last few days! (It's well documented, BTW, that during full
moons people start doing pretty weird things - in fact, my husband tries
to make it a point NOT to be on hospital call during full moons because
of all the craziness during those times)

I might add, and perhaps I'm wrong, but it seems to me that those of us
who tend to get a bit "silly" from time to time are also those who tend
to answer the most questions from the field and in general are the
source of tons of valuable information (not necessarily speaking for
myself, here). If those who just lurk, without themselves contributing,
are just on this list for the "taking" - then I would suggest they can
put up with some silliness from time to time - if they can't, well, then
perhaps they should remove themselves quietly without all the public
protest. I think we all regulate ourselves pretty well, and I'm always
happy for a bit of comic relief from my friends and colleagues.

Emil, I may have to quit this list myself if you stop making me laugh!
PLEASE don't go into lurker-hibernation!
