Yes, this helps explain what's going on - as does your comment, Britt, that
the fonts wouldn't look any different even though they've been converted. I
expected them to. (Silly me - and I thought Macs were supposed to be so
user-friendly!) I'll do as you have suggested and try re-installing the
fonts. Everything seems to work just fine, it's just that the error message
has me bugged and I'd like to get to the bottom of it. Thank you for your
information and suggestions.
