Hi Karen, and Miriam -
        No question, a flatbed scanner cannot compare with a high-end drum
scanner on transparencies. But the Arcus II is excellent if you cannot
afford that mind-boggling price tag. Also, a lot depends on how your end
product is used. I generally reproduce images at brochure-size, average
3-5" wide, so they don't get too big and the (minor) flaws don't show.
If you need to go large, a flatbed won't do.
