If I may be so blunt..... I think we're missing the point here. It's not
the heat or the scenery that's important. It's whether people will step
forward and do their part by volunteering to host and/or work on the
Organizing Committee so we have a conference to go to, no matter where it
may be held.

Virge, I was responding to someone's post about weather. It is a simple fact
that it can get very hot in Kansas in summer. My post implies nothing about
whether or not anyone should or should not volunteer, go to Kansas, have a
meeting, like the weather, stay indoors or outdoors, or anything else...just
a simple response to another's post about weather. Please do not read into my
posts anything that is not there. Thanks.  Joan
