Dear SciArt friends,

I need an article or articles that will serve as a reference to support
the need for scientific illustration. I am also looking for something that
might even refer to the need for artistic training for scientists in order
to better and more accurately document their research.

I seek the justification for the need of illustrators in the science
industry and the need for scientists to better document their work. Many
scientists, though smart and intuitve, have not been educated as to how to
begin a rendering for documentation purposes.

Does anyone know of any articles out there pertaining to this subject?
Any help anyone could give me would be whole heartedly appreciated!!
