Karen,
you can do this with Netscape as well by dragging the little "bookmark"
icon onto the desired subfolder, or by uing the "file bookmark" menu in
the bookmarks menu. This is in Netscape 4.08 and 4.7, and probably
others.
I never have liked MS's browser interface, and Microsoft has poor
security. Plus, I get to use Netscape as my news reader and email
program, and it synchs with my Palm computer (so does Outlook, but I
will not touch that piece of junk). When you roll it all into one
package, the space taken up by the browser is not much. As a bonus,
when it crashes it does not take the rest of the system down with it! :)
