exactly the same with me. My assistants were up in the minute the site was
opened, but got no access, and after half an hour even, they say, loews was
booked out.
In earlier years our hotels were always definitely booked out within 24
hours, but not within 30 minutes. And in earlier years we had normal access
to their website, different from this time. Something's going on here -- and
we are, of course, always in bad faith towards the AEA administration ...

I think AFEE should register a complaint about the "bobbles" since neither
the Loew's nor any nearby hotels had any rooms available as of last night. I
find it hard to believe that all these rooms were gone in less than 24
hours! I ended up booking at the Doubletree, which seems some distance away
from Loew's. Anyone else unhappy about this?

This is a great reminder Phil!
I am chiming in to say that while the site had some bobbles when it first
went live, it is working smoothly now. If you tried unsuccessfully to
register and reserve a hotel yesterday within the first hour and a half
after it opened, I encourage you to give it another go. It's all fixed now.
