Post-doctoral Research Assistant, Université de Liège
Net salary: € 27,500 (subject to reevaluation according to experience)
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research assistant attached to the international research project “Music and Identity-Construction: The National Churches in Rome (16th-17th Centuries)”, funded by the Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique, and co-directed by Emilie Corswarem (Liège) and Marie-Alexis Colin (Brussels). The post is a full-time fixed-term appointment for two years, from 1 October 2016 to 30 September 2018. The post is based in the Université de Liège, at “TRANSITIONS. Applications are welcome from candidates with expertise in 16th- and 17th-century sacred music. The postholder will be required to play an active role in the project, including working in archives relevant to the project’s geographical scope, participating in workshops, providing scientific translation (into English), and providing editorial support. A research period in Rome will probably be required.
Applications are particularly welcome from native English speakers. Candidates are also expected to be fluent in both French and Italian.
Fellows must not have resided or been employed in Belgium for more than 24 months during the 3 years preceding the start-date of the position. The applicant cannot have held a doctorate for more than 6 years prior to the start-date of the position.

Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research assistant attached to the international research project ‘Music and Identity-Construction: The National Churches in Rome (16th-17th Centuries)’, funded by the Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique and co-directed by Emilie Corswarem (Université de Liège) and Marie-Alexis Colin (Université libre de Bruxelles). The post is a full-time fixed-term appointment for two years (1 October 2016 to 30 September 2018). The position will be based in the MUCIA-BRAHMS research centre at the Université libre de Bruxelles.
Applications are welcome from candidates with expertise in 16th- and 17th-century sources. The postholder will be required to play a full and active role in the project, including working in archives located in Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. He/she will be expected to participate in workshops and seminars in Belgium and Rome. Candidates are expected to have research experience in the early modern period, and to be fluent in both English and French; knowledge of Latin is required and knowledge of Dutch or Flemish would be an advantage.
Fellows must not have resided, studied, or been employed in Belgium for more than 24 months between October 2013 and October 2016. The applicant cannot have held a doctorate for more than 6 years prior to October 2016.
Net salary: € 27,550 minimum ; Tax exemption granted
