A bit late for this event, but perhaps these might be of use for events later this winter. I assume that this won’t be the last of the cold weather.
AS-Cloaks-art (10K) 5/ 3/02 "An Anglo-Saxon Cloak” by Lady Eowyn "Eo" Swiftlere.

cloaks-msg (64K) 5/ 6/12 Cloaks, cloak pins and clasps.

Wool knit caps or fur caps can also be useful for keeping warm. You lose a large portion of your body heat through your head. I do have some files on headgear, but has anyone written a good article on making warm hats for cold weather?

Hmmm. I do have these in the ACCESSORIES section:
E-Period-Hats-art (6K) 3/ 2/14 "Early Period Hats" by Kurios Halfdan ‘Two Bears' Ôzurrson.
