Hi all-

As part of the Wild Bees of Montana project at Montana State University, I am doing a statewide faunal treatment of the genus Megachile (Hymenoptera: Megachilidae) for my MS thesis, and am interested in including as many Montana specimens as possible. I am putting out a call for loan of specimens of Montana Megachile that may be in your collection. In addition to any specimens not previously recorded, I am particularly interested in finding vouchers from the works of Mitchell.  Two specific Mitchell vouchers I have not found are one of Megachile dakotensis and one of Megachile nevadensis (reported to be labeled Bozeman, MT).  Please contact me via email if you have such specimens, and we can work to include your material.
