1. National Farm Safety and Health Week
The National Safety Council has declared September 29-25, 2004 as National
Farm Safety and Health Week.

The theme for this year, "Agricultural Safety & Health Yields for a
Lifetime", emphasizes the importance of safety on the farm.  Increased
awareness and educational can help protect the lives and livelihood of our
agricultural producers.

2. National Preparedness Month
The National Safety Council  has named September 2004 to be National
Preparedness Month.  Throughout the month, hundreds of activities are
planned across the county to highlight the importance of individual
emergency preparedness.
