Actually I had been think about that and more, but I am concerned about the possible time it might take. I would hope some volunteers might be interested in helping out if I get a lot of submissions.

Anyone who really wants to fully present their presentation might be able to submit it to the Journal for even more coverage!

Here it goes!

_____________
I am dreaming of putting as much of the conference content on-line as possible. Is any one interested in helping make that happen? I would hope for mostly digital submissions, but would work with anyone proposing good content.

Presenters:
Send your notes/outline/handouts and/or a full text of your presentation. Plus visuals and digital presentation files. Anything is better than nothing to show what happened.

Poster session:
We can make a real dent here, a lot of the posters are digital materials. Send the text and images as seperate items for HTML layout, plus PDF/JPG versions of your poster for a visual representation.

Members and Oceans exhibitors:
I may be able to get the files for the Show catalogs, so we could easily post the images. I would need an OK from each exhibitor to post their work, plus contact info (including artist websites, email etc. and the art description) this could be as little or as much as each person wanted (its the web, not paper!).

Workshops:
Send your notes/outline/handouts and/or a full text of your presentation. Plus consider a visual tutorial, even just a small demo, if appropriate. Anything is better than nothing to show what happened.

Field trips:
Anyone who would like to describe their Field trip experiences, briefly. And/or supply photos. Multiple accounts of the same trip are fine. or several people could work on a single account. If a person is the subject of the photo, names should be supplied.

Travel Journal:
Any Photos or trip stories by anyone (including the committee). This could also hold the email accounts people are giving.

Newsletter Reports:
All the Newsletter coverage.

Group Photo with Name key

___________

Have I left anything out?

The GNSI2000 web site should be a repository for all these things. I can collect them, but I doubt I or Heike could do all the work to organize them, so I would need some help the prepare the files.

With Jaynie Martz's help, I'm sure we could get a Photo thing going fast. Are you up for that Jaynie? Anyone interested in practicing their HTML skills with a travel journal? The working column width is 510 pixels

If it comes down to it, I definatly think the Travel Journal and field trip stuff should get in there. And I would dearly love to see the Poster sessions, Exhibits, Workshops, Presentations, Group Photo as well, but that is where more volunteers are needed.

What do you think?

You may send all rememberances and materials to me at [log in to unmask]
