Just a followup- I ended up sending my work to Skink Ink, since it was my first time to make prints and I thought it would be nice to be able to actually go there and look at the papers available- of which there were many! I sent the files electronically, went in to see the proofs and papers, and then had them ship the final prints to me. They really did a lovely job, and thank goodness their shipping fees are reasonable, because Brooklyn is quite a hike from here.
Thanks again, Natalya. And also to Britt- I will definitely check out ImageKind one of these days.
Have a great Halloween, everyone!marni

You can select from a wide range of paper choices - from economical to quite fancy - and I've had a few pieces printed by them that look better than the originals. And if you can make it out to their shop you'd avoid shipping fees. I highly recommend them - to anyone looking for high-quality prints, not just residents of NYC.
