I can vouch for the Berenice Abbot show. While she is better known for her
images of New York and Paris in the 20's, she did an impressive series of
photographs of scientific studies--primarily physics from what I've seen.
I'm going to try to get down there before it closes in January, if anyone
wants to rendez-vous.
