Karen,
I run an Apple StyleWriter II and an Epson PhotoStylus printer from
my PowerMac 7100. I use a simple Belkin Data Switch model F1M080E to move
between printers. Both the printers have their individual cables connected
to the Belkin "box" and thence a single cable goes to the Printer Port on
the back of my Mac. The entire process works fine: just remember to have
both printers on before booting up your computer and when switching between
them, first turn the mechanical data switch knob on the front of the Belkin
"box" to the other intended printer and go into the Chooser to select the
same intended new printer. After acknowledging that you will go to Page
Setup the next time you print, you're in business. (AppleTalk should be
off, by the way). It ain't Ethernet, but it works fine. Hope this helps.
