The header is now more readable. I am seeing a very wide navigation bar
below it that seems not to be properly positioned.
Using you science Illustration collection as your front page works OK.
But I would encourage you to work on a design for a splash page for your
site that conveys your mission and stills and might include a small
amount of text.
I would encourage you to make your header/banner equal to the maximum
width of your site page, in this design. If you can control the page
width, I think you could narrow it to the width needed to contain your
thumbnail previews. That would make a good maximum width for your site page.
