Hi Britt and Stephen,

The program at SCAD will not be a certificate program. It will be a degree program that offers three options - a BFA, an MA and an MFA - but not 'till 2012.

If that timing is not good for you, Stephen, then Britt's suggestion about finding a medical illustration program that allows you some work in non medical areas is a good one.

Stephen,

I am not aware of any programs that offer a Master's Degree in Science Illustration (yet) but a
number of the Medical Masters allow you to focus a bit on the non-human form, but you still need to
know your medical and science stuff!

There are several Graduate Certificate programs in Science Illustration. The best known is the one
Anne mentions below, in Monterey. There is another starting up in Seattle, and by next year there
may be a third one in Savannah Georgia.
