hi!

i've received a few calls lately about transportation to/from ames.  here's
what i know so far:

the des moines international airport is the closest airport to ames (it's
about 30 miles away).  we're going to be running *free* shuttle vans FROM
the airport on june 20 & 21 at approximately two hour intervals.  we will
run shuttles TO the airport on the 25 & 26 using the same schedule.  if
you'd like to rent a car or get other information about the airport, you can

while you're in ames, you can get around quite easily using CyRide, the
town's bus system (http://www.city.ames.ia.us - click on CyRide).  the last
time i checked, it cost .75 a ride. of $10 for a booklet of 15 tickets.  cheap!

look for more complete travel info in the registration form - you should be
getting one in the mail early next month.  if anything changes, i'll let you
