If our luck holds,, that is if the rains continue (it has been a week
of relentless downpours) and the beetles continue on their present
course and no one disturbs the site, I will have a baby moose skeleton
which we can draw and study at the next conference. Should I try to
schedule a workshop on moose anatomy?
With a moose as our spokesmoose it should be appropriate. Thanks again
for the "logo" idea, Gail. I'm working on both a silhouette and line
drawing of Francine. My imagination carried me away last night and I
envisioned moose signs around the campus: a cartoon moose with dripping
wet grasses hanging from her mouth to indicate the way to the
cafeteria, a cartoon moose lying down in a bed, driving a bus (hey,
John Norton, wanna draw some cartoons?) . . . If nothing else this has
been fun so far.
Oops, I should slow down; I don't actually have the bones in my
possession yet. The beetles are very busy working and have about half a
carcass to go. Joan
