There are some dandy courses offered in Yellowstone National Park
.http://www.yellowstoneassociation.org/institute/fieldSeminars/
courseCalendar.aspx

I did not recognize any GNSI member names in my quick glance over the
schedule for this year. Something to think about for someone? I
especially like the title of one course: "Picking Bugs Out of the
Paint: The Art of Plein Air."

Also this: " Old Faithful was named for the predictability of its
eruptions; however, despite widespread belief, Yellowstone's most famed
geyser does not run like clockwork. The current average time between
large eruptions, known as the geyser eruption interval or GEI, is about
91 minutes. This is long by historic standards; in the 1950s the wait
was only about 60 minutes." Gee, even Old Faithful is slowing down; I
don't feel so bad.
