I had to chuckle at the thought, but as nervous as most folks are right now,
having southern California go suddenly dark might generate more "news" than
people can handle.

Here in San Diego, I think it would be far more interesting to have
everybody turn on their air conditioning,
open the refrigerator and do a load of laundry at the same time of
night...there watch what happened from a satellite.

Haha. I've seen two other variations of this, both scheduled for
different
times last Sunday (7 EST and 7 PST). Nice idea but no formal request and

cordinated time it seems.
